The work of the assistant judge is mainly related to the use of computers and information systems, and most assistant judges work remotely.

About 50 people work as assistant judge. The number of jobs will increase slightly in the future as the role of assistant judges is expanded. There are enough graduates with suitable education to fill the jobs of the future.

The prerequisite for working as an assistant judge is a master's degree or a special education as an assistant judge of professional higher education. An employee must also complete a preparatory service plan for an assistant judge if there is no previous appropriate work experience.

For the work of an assistant judge, very good knowledge of civil law and proceedings related to different registers are required, e.g. company law, land register law and related procedural rules, in order to ensure the legal certainty of the data and the appropriate procedure in the land register and commercial register.
