Apparel, textile and leather industry technician
The technician compiles, sets up, installs and tests equipment and systems.
Technician's tasks include making, tuning, repairing and troubleshooting electronic assemblies and installing and maintaining automation systems, production equipment and robots. The work of a technician may also include team guidance and advice to operators. The technician mostly works as an electronic equipment technician, mechatronic technician or automation technician.
Nearly 250 technicians are employed in the garment, textile and leather industries, the number of jobs will remain the same in the future. Technicians are trained less if there are jobs for them.
Professional vocational education is required for working as a technician.
